This Kaysville homeowner reached out to Big Yeti Builders after experiencing frustration with a poorly built deck that had started to deteriorate just a few years after installation. They were seeking a long-term solution that would not only replace the failing structure but also provide much-needed shade for their outdoor living space.
Our team began by tearing down the existing deck and rebuilding a stunning 60’x11′ deck designed to last. For the decking, we chose Envision Cool Tread – Seaside Pier for the main surface, paired with Envision Distinction – Spiced Teak for the border, creating a beautiful contrast and a functional picture frame border design. This combination ensures durability and comfort, even in the intense Utah sun.
To enhance the deck’s functionality, we installed a 25’x10′ Sundance louvered cover, which provides adjustable shade and allows homeowners to enjoy their deck in any weather. We also wrapped the posts and beams, a detail often left as raw wood, to give the structure a polished and cohesive appearance.
For safety and style, we added Fairway horizontal aluminum railings, giving the deck a modern look while ensuring long-term durability.
